Blog entry Freerice ‘Class of the Week’ - Ms. Paksorn’s Class
This week’s “Class of the Week” goes to Ms. Paksorn’s Class from the Sainampeung School in Bangkok, Thailand.
This group of 7th & 8th graders are passionate about playing Freerice because they want to help put an end to world hunger. They play during school and want to encourage other students and teachers to learn, play, and donate rice!
Their group has earned more than 236,390 grains of rice. That means they have helped feed more than 12,441 people for one day!
Freerice is an easy way to get involved and make an impact, but it isn’t the only way. To find out what else your class can do to make a difference go to wfp.org/students-and-teachers
Happy Playing!
How can your class make a difference?
Step 1: Sign up and registered your class as a group on Freerice — be sure to include the word “class,” “students,” or “school” in your group’s name.
Step 2: Create a crafty group description — tell us who you are and why your students play Freerice
Step 3: Play, play, play!

That seems weird that 236,390 grains of can feed 12,441 people considering that that is less than 20 grains per person.
Maine south english does double that in one day :p

Amazing! I wish more schools showed interest in this website...good job!
HEY YOU BITCHES! YOU GUYS SUCK EGGS!
Congratulations on the amount of rice you earned! It takes a lot of work to get to that total! I am confused about the amount of people you calculated into that total, however. Maybe I have been figuring the people helped incorrectly over the years...someone let me knowif I am wrong! Here's how I figure it: On the webpage FAQs, it says that it takes 400 grams of rice to feed 1 person (2meals) per day, and there are 48 grains of rice in 1 gram. Therefore, it should take 19,200 grains of rice (400 grams x 48 grains) to feed 1 person. So if you earned 236,390 grains of rice and you divide that by 19,200, you have helped 12.3 people.
join my group, together we can feed hundreds!!!!!!!!Group name is: FreeRice Champs
Well done! Keep up the great work!
